“Clean” is not an option! Join us for our 8th annual Dignity Health Dirty Kid Obstacle Race at the Sacramento Adventure Playground on Saturday and Sunday, October 10-11 from 10AM-11AM each day. Youth and adult participants of all ages (4 and up) will race in a small endurance course with obstacles, including MUD!
Waves of kids 4–15—and even some adults—will be challenged by a demanding course with numerous physical obstacles—climbing over walls, jumping hay bales, crawling through a mud pit and through tubes, navigating balance beams, and dragging tires. Course length, obstacles, and difficulty adjust with age. The race is both fun and an important lesson in perseverance!
This event serves as a fundraiser for the Sacramento Adventure Playground, with all proceeds going toward supporting the Adventure Playground, a Fairytale Town-powered initiative. Located at Maple Neighborhood Center, the Adventure Playground is an after-school youth development program that enables youth ages 6 to 15 to engage in supervised play activities free of charge.
CORNY ISLAND FESTIVAL at SAP Oct. 10-11
The Oct. 10-11 races will have a festival for more fun, the Corny Island Festival. Yes, all things corn! There will be the Corn Dig, Corn Art, Corn Hole, Candy Corn, Pop Corn, Pumpkin Carving (with corn accessories), Corny Jokes and Gold, Gem, and Corn Sluice Box Mining, And anything else corny we can think of. Pumpkin Carving is an additional fee (order in advance for guaranteed availability). Race ticket will include one mining pouch. Additional pouches or gem upgrade may be purchased in advance or on site (as available). Oct. 10 is also a Community Day, where non-racers will be invited (siblings can still do the Festival portion on Oct. 11).

Racers must be at least 4 years old to race.
Online Registration closes 2 days prior to race day. In person registration during this time can be done at the SAP office on Thursday/Friday, or Race Day.

WAVES
Runners will start in waves of 6-10 runners, 1-10 minutes apart. Runner should check in at least 30 minutes prior to wave time.
Oct. 11-12 SAP Races. Waves are scheduled as follows each day, for the day(s) you signed up (will not start before)
4-5yrs – 10:00am
6-7yrs – 10:15am
8-9yrs – 10:25am
10-15yrs – 10:40am
16yrs – Adult – 10:45am
Family (ages 8+) – 10:50am
October Races at the Sacramento Adventure Playground:
Fitness should be fun! Join us in our 7th annual Dignity Health Dirty Kid Obstacle Race. Youth and Adult participants of all ages 4 – 99 will race in a small endurance course with obstacles, including MUD!
Obstacles can vary. There will be over, under, carry, crawl and of course mud. Obstacles will not have a high degree of difficulty. Runners will run in “waves” of up to 10 persons. The course will be within and behind the Adventure Playground.
This event is a fundraiser for the Adventure Playground. 100% of the funds goes towards sponsoring the Adventure Playground.
