DESCRIPTION:“Once Upon a Time: 1959!”\nCelebrating Fairytale Town’s 65th Anniversary!\nAn Original Musical Magical Mystery Adventure for the Entire Family \nWritten & Directed by John Lee\nFairytale Town’s most colorful characters come to life in this fun and fast-paced fantasy. \nFeaturing Robin Hood\, King Arthur\, Cinderella\, Peter Pan\, Captain Hook\, Jack & Jill\, Alice from Wonderland\, the Wicked Witch of the East\, and many more. \nSee talented young performers from the Sacramento area perform LIVE ON STAGE in our Children’s Theater. There will be 2 performances per day. Showtimes are 11:30 AM & 12:30 PM on May 18\, 19\, 25\, & 26. \nSince 2007\, the Fairytale Town Troupers has been the primary Theatre Arts program at Fairytale Town—teaching the essentials of Live Stage Production in a practical rehearsal & performance format. Open to young actors ages 5 to 18—and interns aged 18 to 21—this unique program encourages novice performers to work side-by-side with seasoned veterans to gain invaluable “hands-on” experience in the art of producing Live Theatre. \nThe Fairytale Town Troupers program is led by Fairytale Town’s resident Education & Theatre Arts Specialist John Lee\, an award-winning local playwright\, director\, actor and educator. \n\n“Once Upon a Time: 1959!” marks Mr. Lee’s 50th—and final—stage production for the Fairytale Town Troupers. Mr. Lee brought the first of many independent productions to Fairytale Town in 2001\, taught his first “Dramarama” workshop in 2003\, joined the staff in 2007\, and retires in June after 23+ years of Making Magic onsite. \n\nWeekend admission is $9 for adults and children ages 2 and older. Members and children ages 1 and under are free. \nPlease note:\n• Adults must be accompanied by children and children must be accompanied by adults in order to gain admittance to Fairytale Town.\n• All performances are FREE with paid park admission.\n• All performances will take place in the theater. \nIf you are interested in more information about the Fairytale Town Troupers\, please e-mail: mrlee@fairytaletown.org.
