DESCRIPTION:Obstacle racing…it’s hip\, happening\, and promotes overall fitness in a fun atmosphere! \nThis September\, obstacle racing comes to Fairytale Town\, serving as a fantastic warmup for October’s Dignity Health Dirty Kid Obstacle Race at the Sacramento Adventure Playground\, or for anyone who simply wants to run over\, through and under Fairytale Town’s iconic play structures. \nGet your phones ready – this is a photo-worthy event! \nRace is for ages 4-15. Ages 4-5 will race over about a quarter mile with about 10 obstacles. Ages 6-15 will race about a half mile over approximately 16 obstacles\, with both races including water wading and bubbles (there is no mud obstacle at this event). Racers will be placed in age groups (“waves”) at 9:00am. \nCheck back soon for more information!

Join us for our 8th annual Dignity Health Dirty Kid Obstacle Race at the Sacramento Adventure Playground on Saturday and Sunday\, October 10-11 from 10AM-11AM each day. Youth and adult participants of all ages (4 and up) will race in a small endurance course with obstacles\, including MUD! \nWaves of kids 4–15—and even some adults—will be challenged by a demanding course with numerous physical obstacles—climbing over walls\, jumping hay bales\, crawling through a mud pit and through tubes\, navigating balance beams\, and dragging tires. Course length\, obstacles\, and difficulty adjust with age. The race is both fun and an important lesson in perseverance! \nThis event serves as a fundraiser for the Sacramento Adventure Playground\, with all proceeds going toward supporting the Adventure Playground\, a Fairytale Town-powered initiative. Located at Maple Neighborhood Center\, the Adventure Playground is an after-school youth development program that enables youth ages 6 to 15 to engage in supervised play activities free of charge. \nCheck back soon for more information!

Kids ages 4–12 can enjoy a fun night out filled with activities\, including craft projects\, games and dinner. Take this opportunity to enjoy a long overdue date night or some needed self-care!  Space is limited\, so register early to guarantee your child’s participation. \nSchedule: \n5:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Check-in/Free Time \n6:00 PM – 6:30 PM: Dinner \n6:30 PM – 7:00 PM: Activity 1 \n7:00 PM – 7:30 PM: Activity 2 \n7:30 PM – 8:00 PM: Wind Down  \nNOTE: The December Kids Night Out ends at 8 pm instead of 9pm.  \n  \nRegister Now! \nPlease note: \n\nKid’s Night Out is intended to be a drop-off event\, but parents are always welcome.\nAll activities will be supervised by Fairytale Town staff.\nTo be eligible for a refund\, you must cancel at least 14 days prior to the event date. DESCRIPTION:Saturday & Sunday\, December 5-6 & 12-13\nSpecial Park & Event Hours: 1 PM – 7 PM (Box Office Closes at 6 PM)\nWeather permitting \nCelebrate the holidays together at Fairytale Town’s annual Winter Wonderland! Enjoy a visit with Santa Claus\, interact with the mischievous Mr. Grinch\, play in nightly snowfall at 6pm\, and enjoy festive decorations. Join in games and crafts while making magical memories on December 5\, 6\, 12\, and 13 from 1 to 7pm. \nThe storybook park will be adorned with festive décor and\, starting at dusk each day\, lit up with a dazzling display of lights. Take a picture on Santa’s Sleigh too! Multiple arts and crafts activities will be stationed throughout the park. Visit the new Story Center for holiday-themed crafts and story times. There will be a holiday scavenger hunt for families to embark on as well. \nSanta Claus will be on the Mother Goose stage to visit and take photos with children on December 5\, 6\, 12\, and 13 from 1 to 6pm. Families can enjoy free self-served photos. \nTo end the evening\, there will be nightly snowfall made possible through Santa’s magic.
