Rules for a Safe and Fun Visit

Teachers and chaperones are responsible for supervising children at all times. Please go over these rules with your children and chaperones. Rules are intended for the safety of both you the guest and our animals.

By ordinance of the City of Sacramento, adults are not permitted in Fairytale Town if not in the company of a child or on official business.

1. SHOW YOUR CHILD A SPOT TO GO TO IF THEY BECOME SEPARATED OR LOST.
We recommend the Candlestick by the front office, but every child is different. Pick a set, slide or other feature they like and can identify by themselves in case you get separated. Explain that you will go there to find them if they get lost. If you do not immediately locate the child, please tell a staff member right away and we will help you find them.

2. DO NOT FEED ANY OF THE ANIMALS.
All animals have special diets to ensure their health.

3. PLEASE WALK AT ALL TIMES.
Running can lead to accidents. It is especially important to ONLY WALK ON THE CROOKED MILE.

4. SLIDE SAFELY.
Please slide one-at-a-time, feet first, down the slides. Be sure to use the steps and ladders to climb up to the slides. Toddlers must be accompanied by adults on slides and the Crooked Mile.

5. STAY OUT OF THE MOAT AND RIVER.
It can be very slippery. Do not jump across or through the moat or river.

6. CHASING, YELLING, OR TEASING THE ANIMALS IS NOT ALLOWED.
Please treat our animals with respect. They do not like being chased or yelled at.

7. STAY ON PATHS AND LAWNS.
Do not climb on, break or pick our plants and flowers.

8. NO SMOKING.
Fairytale Town is a smoke-free environment for the safety of the children who visit. If you would like to smoke, please see our cashier to get your hand stamped for re-entry. Smoking is allowed 30 feet from the outside gates of Fairytale Town.

9. NO PETS ALLOWED.
For their safety and for the safety of our animals, all pets should be left at home. Assistance animals are welcome at Fairytale Town.

10. KEEP YOUR SHOES ON.
Little feet should be protected on sets, paths and our lawns.

11. NO BALLOONS, STRAWS OR LIDS.
For the safety of our animals, we do not allow balloons of any kind in the park. Also, we do not have straws or lids at our cafe for the safety of the animals in the park.
