About Our Town Getting Involved Volunteer Opportunities | Memberships | Sponsorships | Affiliates Volunteer Opportunities Volunteers Do you enjoy arts and crafts, costume-making, dance, face-painting, music, puppetry, storytelling, or reading out loud? Would you like to teach children about science, literature, agriculture or animals? Are you an avid gardener? You can make a difference at Fairytale Town as a volunteer! Fairytale Town is accepting volunteers 12-years-old and up; sorry, no exceptions. Volunteering helps children in our community grow their imaginations. While every visit to Fairytale Town is magical for a child, that magic takes work "behind the scenes" to happen. Individuals and service clubs are an invaluable part of the magic, with thousands of volunteer hours logged each year. For only one hour a month, or as many hours as you or your service organization wish to dedicate, you can help open the door to reading, art and imagination for children of all ages. It is our goal to match your skills and interests with the park's needs. We want to hear from you! Special Events Volunteers are needed or most Fairytale Town special events, including Safe & Super Halloween, and Crystal Midsummer Night's Dream and Ice Cream Fantasy. Check our calendar for other events that might interest you. Volunteers are a huge part of what makes these events a success! Regular Opportunities Volunteers are need on a daily basis, for three hour shifts (shift times vary), to help make magic at Fairytale Town. Volunteer assignments vary on a day-to-day basis, including but not limited to workshop assistant, arts & crafts, gardening, storytelling, maintenance, office help, event prep, costumed characters, theater ushers and much more! Fairytale Town is accepting volunteers 12 years old and up; sorry, no exceptions. Group projects are dependent upon project availability, and are seasonal. Volunteer Levels We are always willing to work with YOUR schedule! Volunteering for a project that is ongoing, seasonal or a one-time commitment helps support Fairytale Town and is a terrific community service opportunity! Community Service Groups Are you a member of a service organization looking for a way to make a difference in the community? Volunteering at Fairytale Town is a wonderful way to earn service hours and promote the imagination, creativity and education of children. Submit completed volunteer applications to: Board Committees The Fairytale Town Board of Directors relies upon committees to accomplish its tasks. Board Committees include Finance Committee, Fund Development Committee, Fundraiser Committee and Strategic Planning Committee. Board of Directors Fairytale Town is led by a volunteer Board of Directors. The 15-member Board is responsible for ensuring the fiscal stability of the organization, setting policy and serving as ambassadors to the community.
