How do I make a reservation?
To make a reservation start here and follow the directions. When you have finished you will receive an email confirmation. This is yours to keep. Remember to print it out; you'll need to bring it with you when you visit Fairytale Town on your field trip.
Does Fairytale Town accept purchase orders?
No Fairytale Town does not accept purchase orders. Sorry, no exceptions. We do accept cash, checks, personal checks with identification, Visa and MasterCard.
Help! I need an invoice so that I can have a check cut for my field trip!
Your confirmation letter is also your invoice. Just make a copy of your confirmation and submit it through proper channels in your organization.
Help! My email confirmation looks funny. It doesn't seem to make sense.
To properly view your confirmation just change your email settings to accept to view in HTML format.
I lost my confirmation, how do I get a new one?
If you saved your confirmation email, you should be able to print out a new confirmation. If you no longer have the confirmation email call Reservation Specialist Michelle Gardner at (916) 808-8814 or contact her via email at mpgardner@cityofsacramento.org and request a new confirmation.
I never received my confirmation!
In an effort to be more green, Fairytale Town no longer mails out confirmation packets. When you make a reservation at fairytaletown.org you are required to provide an email address. If you provide a valid email address you will receive a confirmation via email. If you are having difficulty making reservations online please call call Reservation Specialist Michelle Gardner at (916) 808-8814 or contact her via email at mpgardner@cityofsacramento.org with with your name, arrival date, the name of your school, a fax number and mailing address so you can receive your confirmation.
Oh no, it's raining and we have a Field Trip scheduled!
If it rains on the day of your field trip please call our main office at (916) 264-7462 to see if we will be open. All workshops & theater programs are weather permitting. Unfortunately, when it is wet the structures may be too wet and slippery to safely play. Please refer to our cancellation policy if you are going to cancel your trip.
I have extra adults who want to bring siblings; can they join in with my class?
Yes! You may allow as many adults and siblings to join your group as long as they notify and pay the teacher in charge in advance. That teacher will pay for the entire group. The additional visitors will be admitted at the same price as the rest of your group (children 2 and under are FREE but must be counted). Please note: Any visitors who arrive after the group has already entered Fairytale Town must pay full price admission. Sorry, no exceptions.
I'm going to Fairytale Town and the Sacramento Zoo do I pay with one check or two?
If you are going to both Fairytale Town and the Sacramento Zoo, you'll need two separate checks. Please refer to your confirmation letter for details.
How do I add more people to my reservation?
Unless you have a special program reserved or your invoice needs to be updated, there is no need to add a couple of people to your reservation. We will ask you for a head count the day of your field trip. Please refer to your confirmation for further details on the head count.
Where should my chaperones meet their children?
Please have your entire group meet on the grass in front of the Fairytale Town Express Gate. Please keep your group together. If a chaperone pays to enter Fairytale Town before the group pays, they will be charged the full admission price.
Are there combination field trips with the Sacramento Zoo?
YES! If you would like to visit Fairytale Town and the Sacramento Zoo please visit the online reservation site to book a combination field trip.
